Biography:

Taylor Kinney was born on July 15, 1981 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S.. After high school, he enrolled at the West Virginia University. There, he finished a degree in Business Management. He ultimately started a career in the entertainment industry, where he had his debut on Fashion House. He played a regular role on the show. His next regular gig was on the TV series Trauma.

He became more prolific in the 2010s. He appeared in a couple of low-budget films. He then became known for playing Mason on The Vampire Diaries. In 2012, he appeared in three films: Least Among Saints, Stars in Shorts and Zero Dark Thirty. That same year, he started playing Lt. Kelly Severide on Chicago Fire. This gained him wider recognition. In 2014, he starred in the movie The Other Woman. He was also further pushed into the limelight when he started dating Lady Gaga in 2011, though they cancelled the engagement in 2016.
