Biography:

Taylor Schilling was born on July 27, 1984 in Boston, Massachusetts. She attended Fordham University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in acting in 2006.

She entered the graduate program at New York University but left after her second year to focus on her auditions. In 2007, she eventually landed a role in the independent film Dark Matter.

Then in 2009, she was picked to play the lead in the NBC medical drama Mercy. She has since appeared in such films as Atlas Shrugged and The Lucky One.

As of 2013, she stars as Piper Chapman in the Netflix original series Orange Is The New Black.
