Biography:

Thomasin McKenzie was born on 26 July 2000 in Wellington, New Zealand. Her parents are actress Miranda Harcourt and director Stuart McKenzie. In 2014, she made her debut playing the young title character in the TV movie Consent: The Louise Nicholas Story. It was also that same year when she appeared as Astrid in the film The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

In her native New Zealand, she became known for starring as Pixie Hannah in the TV series Shortland Street. During this period, she also received acclaim for her performance as Tom in the film Leave No Trace. She won the National Board of Review Award for Breakthrough Performance for this, as well as earned several nominations. She next starred alongside Timothée Chalamet in the film The King and played Elsa Korr in Jojo Rabbit. Some of her upcoming films include Old and Last Night in Soho.
