Tina Fey was born on May 18, 1970 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, USA. She attended University of Virginia, where she studied playwriting and acting.

In 1997, she was hired as a writer for Saturday Night Live, later becoming head writer and performer.

In 2004, she adapted the screenplay Mean Girls and after leaving SNL in 2006, she created the sitcom 30 Rock.

She has also appeared in such films as Mean Girls, Date Night, Megamind, Baby Mama and Admission.

She has received eight Emmy awards, two Golden Globe awards and four Writers Guild of America awards.
