Biography:
Toby Kebbell was born on 9 July 1982 in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England. He attended Central Junior Television Workshop in Nottingham to train in acting. In 2004, he appeared in the film Dead Man’s Shoes, marking his screen debut. This got him noticed, earning him a British Independents Film Award nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. That same year, he portrayed Pausanius in Oliver Stone’s Alexander.
His performance as Rob Gretton in the movie Control was praised. This got him a British Independent Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. He went on to play the role of Garsiv in the Hollywood movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. In the 2010s, he had roles in the films The Conspirator, The Veteran, Wrath of the Titans, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Fantastic Four, Warcraft, and Ben-Hur. He recently played Maj. Jack Chapman, as well as the role of Kong in Kong: Skull Island.
