Biography:
Tom Ellis was born on November 17, 1978 in Bangor, UK. Before venturing into acting, he was a French Horn player for the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra. He started his career in 2001 when he made his debut in the British movie The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby. In the next few years, he’s acted in the films Much Ado About Nothing and Waking the Dead.
In the mid 2000s, he became known for his roles on the television shows No Angels and EastEnders, the latter of which he played the part of Dr. Oliver Cousins. His most notable role was as Gary Preston in the British sitcom Miranda, which ended in 2015. He also played Robin Hood in Once Upon a Time in a few episodes. He will star as the titular character in the upcoming series Lucifer.
