Tom Sturridge is an English actor. He debuted in 1996, playing Tom Gulliver on the miniseries Gulliver’s Travels. He next made his cinematic debut in the 1997 film FairyTale: A True Story. In the 2000s, he appeared in the film Vanity Fair before playing the part of Roger Gosselyn in 2004’s Being Julia. He later had performances in the movies Brothers of the Head, Like Minds, and The Boat That Rocked. He also portrayed William Herbert in the TV movie A Waste of Shame. In the 2010s, he gained recognition for his roles as John Everett Millais in Effie Gray and Sergeant Troy in Far from the Madding Crowd. In 2017, he portrayed Lord Byron in Mary Shelley. His latest role was as Jon Dondon in Velvet Buzzsaw.
