Tommy Dewey was born on August 3, 1978 in Birmingham, Alabama, U.S.. He finished his degree from Princeton University. In 2001, he made his acting debut when he appeared in a short film. A few years later, he made his first TV appearance in an episode of What I Like About You. He next starred on the short-lived series The Mountain. By 2006, he’s already made his movie debut in I’m Reed Fish.

Subsequently, he starred in the films Unearthed, On the Doll, and 17 Again. He also played the role of James on the show Roommates. In 2012, he started playing recurring role Josh Daniels on The Mindy Project. In 2015, he started starring as Alex on Casual. He’s also starred in the 2015 movie The Escort.
