Biography:

Tori Kelly was born on December 14, 1992 in Wildomar, California. When she was 16, she auditioned for American Idol but was eventually eliminated. This prompted her to work on her own music, releasing her debut EP Handmade Songs By Tori Kelly in 2012. She wrote, mixed, and produced the songs here herself. She later signed with Capital Records, releasing her second EP in 2013.

Two years later, she released her debut full-length studio album Unbreakable Smile. Its lead song, “Nobody Love”, entered the Billboard Hot 100. For this, she was nominated for a Best New Artist Award at the Grammys. In 2016, she made her film debut as Meena in the animated movie Sing. She also appeared in The Voice as an advisor for its Season 9.
