Torri Higginson was born on December 6, 1969 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. She debuted in the 1991 film The Photographer’s Wife. The following year, she had her first television role in an episode of Forever Knight. She next starred as Beth Kittridge in the TV movie TekWar: TekLords. She then appeared in the feature films The English Patient and Double Take. Later in 2004, she played recurring character Dr. Elizabeth Weir in Stargate SG-1. She reprised her role, this time as a main character in Stargate Atlantis. At the same time, she also became known for starring as Dr. Jordan Hampton in NCIS. In the 2010s, the actress starred as Natalie Lawson in the TV drama This Life. She then played Commander Delaney Truffault in Dark Matter, as well as starred as Dr. Michelle Kessler in the web series Inhuman Condition.
