She found success in the 2000s courtesy of her role as Joan Clayton on the sitcom Girlfriends, which aired on television from 2000 to 2008. While on the show, she had roles in the films Hanging Up, In the Weeds, I-See-You.Com, and Daddy’s Little Girls. In the 2010s, she played Gloria Parkes in 4 episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. She next starred as Dr. Carla Reed on the short-lived series Reed Between the Lines.
