Biography:
Uma Thurman was born on April 29, 1970 in Boston, Massachusetts. She left boarding school when she was 15, determined to pursue acting. She eventually moved to New York.
She got her breakthrough role in the 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons. She received further attention in the 1990 film Henry & June.
However, it was her role in Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction that gained her wider recognition, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She starred in other numerous films, including The Truth About Cats & Dogs, Batman & Robin and in Kill Bill films.
