Val Kilmer is an American actor. His Hollywood career started in the mid-1980s, rising to fame for his role as Lt. Tom “Iceman” Kazanski in 1986’s Top Gun. He became more famous in the 1990s, portraying Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone’s The Doors. He next portrayed Doc Holliday in the movie Tombstone and Elvis Presley in True Romance. In 1995, he starred as Bruce Wayne / Batman in Batman Forever. That same year, he co-starred with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in Michael Mann’s Heat. He went on to star in the films The Ghost and the Darkness and The Saint. In the 2000s, he portrayed Willem de Kooning in the biographical film Pollock, as well as played John Holmes in Wonderland. He later portrayed Philip II of Macedon in the movie Alexander. In the late 2000s, he mostly starred in direct-to-video films. He will reprise his role as Tom “Iceman” Kazanski in the Top Gun sequel Top Gun: Maverick.
