Biography:

Vedhika Kumar was born on 21 February 1988 in Maharashtra, India. Prior to her movie career, she worked as a model. She was then offered a part in the 2006 Tamil film Madrasi, which she accepted. The following year, she made her Telugu debut in Vijayadasami. She also ventured into the Kannada cinema with Sangama.

In the next couple of years, she starred in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She was then praised for her performance in the 2013 Tamil film Paradesi. For this, she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Tamil at the 61st Filmfare Awards South. She received the same nomination for her role in the film Kaaviya Thalaivan. In 2019, she made her Bollywood debut with the Hindi movie The Body.
