Biography:
Virginie Ledoyen was born on November 15, 1976 in Aubervilliers, Paris, France. She began modeling at the age of two, appearing in print advertisements. In 1995, she made her breakthrough in La Fille seule.
For her performance in La Fille seule, she earned a César Award nomination for Most Promising Actress. She also received two César Award nominations for her previous films: Les marmottes in 1993 and L’eau froide in 1994.
In 2000, she obtained worldwide fame when she starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in Danny Boyle’s The Beach, playing the role of Françoise. The film went on to become a box-office hit.
