Hollywood star Wendie Malick has been acting since the 1970s with her first ever role in the movie How To Pick Up Girls. In the 1980s, she landed her first regular role on TV — as Dr. Brigitte Blaine on Trauma Center, after which she played recurring character Claire on Kate & Allie. During this period, she had roles in the films A Little Sex and Scrooged. She later played Gayle Buchannon on Baywatch.
Her career became more active during the 1990s, gaining attention for her role as Judith Tupper Stone on the sitcom Dream On (1990-1996). She simultaneously guest-starred on a variety of shows while starring on Dream On, too. On the big screen, she acted in The American President, Apollo 11, and Trojan War. Subsequently, she got the part of Nina Van Horn on the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me!, rising her to fame.
She next played the recurring role of Ronee Lawrence on Frasier. She went on to have starring parts on several TV shows, including Jake in Progress, The X’s, and Big Day. More recently, she starred as Victoria Chase on the TV Land sitcom Hot in Cleveland. Her latest role was as Lisa Neumann on the Netflix comedy series The Ranch.
Despite nearing her 70s, the actress remains strong and fit thanks to her healthy diet plan. For starters, she no longer eats any processed foods. In an interview, she revealed that she considers herself a pescetarian. This means that her diet mostly consists of fish and lots of fruits and vegetables. “I avoid the bread basket, pasta and things like that,” said the actress. She believes that eating light and fresh keeps her energy levels high, her skin vibrant, and her figure lean. She never overeats. For her, keeping her meals moderate and balanced is crucial to staying in shape.
