Biography:

Yael Grobglas was born on May 31, 1984 in Paris, France. She was raised in Israel as her father comes from a Jewish family. Her mother is Austrian. In her later life, she pursued acting and began her career on Israeli television and films. In the late 2000s, she became known for her leading role in Ha’yi. In 2010, she made her big screen debut in the Israeli movie Rabies.

In 2013, she was cast as America Singer in the pilot The Selection, which marked her career beginnings in Hollywood. Around the same time, she gained recognition after landing the recurring role of Olivia D’Amencourt in Reign, playing the part from 2013 to 2014. Her television career in the US progressed even more as she became part of the main cast, playing Petra Solano in Jane the Virgin. The show’s success secured her popularity among TV audiences.
