Biography:
Zach Braff was born on April 6, 1975 in South Orange, New Jersey, U.S.. He made his big screen debut in the 1993 movie Manhattan Murder Mystery. After appearing in other films and TV shows in the ’90s, he achieved recognition for his role as John Dorian in Scrubs, which he began playing in 2001. His performance on the show earned him a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor.
He played the part until 2010. In 2004, he made his directorial debut in Garden State, also starring in the film with Natalie Portman and Peter Sarsgaard. In the late 2000s, he starred in the movies The Last Kiss, The Ex, and The High Cost of Living. In 2014, he wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the comedy-drama film Wish I Was Here.
