Biography:

Zach McGowan was born on May 5, 1981 in New York City, New York. After high school, he attended Carleton College. In 2006, he made his debut in the film The Hunt for Eagle One. His first role on TV was in an episode of CSI: Miami. He went on to have small roles in the films Terminator Salvation and Losing Control. In 2012, he became known for his role as Jody on Shameless.

He gained further recognition for his role as Charles Vane on Black Sails. He starred on the said show from 2014 to 2016. At the same time, he appeared in the movie Dracula Untold. More recently, he starred as King Roan on The 100, as well as played Anton Ivanov / The Superior on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D..
