Zach Roerig Workout Routine

Zach Roerig

Hollywood star Zach Roerig debuted in an episode of the television series Law & Order. Afterward, he landed the role of Casey Hughes on the soap opera As the World Turns. This marked his first starring role on the small screen, playing the said part from 2005-2007. At the same time, he also had one-time roles in Guiding Light and Reba and performed in the made-for-television film Split Decision. In 2007, he became further known for his role as Hunter Atwood, a recurring character, on One Life to Live.

That same year, he made his big screen debut in the film Tie a Yellow Ribbon. Following this, he starred as Matt Mullen in the movie Assassination of a High School President and played the recurring role of Cash in Friday Night Lights. It was, however, his role as Matt Donovan in The Vampire Diaries that gained him wider popularity. He starred on the show from 2009-2017. He has also reprised his role in the spin-offs The Originals and Legacies. In 2017, he played the role of Pulse on the superhero series The Gifted. Also in the 2010s, he had roles in the films Field of Lost Shoes, Rings, The Year of Spectacular Men, and The Outer Wild.

The actor bulked up for his role as Matt in The Vampire Diaries. Even after the show had ended, he has since adopted a healthier lifestyle as far as his workout routine is concerned. So, how did the actor manage to improve his physique while starring on one of the popular shows on TV? “I keep dumbbells in my trailer and I work out between takes,” said the actor. “I’m playing a high school jock and I was a high school jock and when you’re in high school you work out all the time. It’s not really like working out in the trailers but doing the weights between scenes means I constantly have that extra pump like I just came from practice”
