Bollywood star Zareen Khan debuted as Princess Yashodhara in the 2010 Hindi film Veer. For her role, she was nominated for the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut. She next appeared in the movie Ready, followed by another Hindi role in Housefull 2. In 2013, she made her first Tamil movie appearance in Naan Rajavaga Pogiren. She also ventured into Punjabi cinema with Jatt James Bond. For this, she won Best Female Debut at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards.
In the next couple of years, she mostly worked in Hindi cinema where she starred in the films DOA: Death of Amar, Hate Story 3, Veerappan, Wajah Tum Ho, Aksar 2, and 1921. Recently in 2019, she starred in the Telugu film Chanakya, which also marked her debut in Telugu movies. That same year, she played the female lead in the Punjabi film Daaka. Khan has also appeared on television, hosting/presenting in MTV Troll Police.
In an interview, Zareen Khan got candid about how she stays healthy and why it’s not a good idea to follow strict diets. “I don’t follow any diet. I eat everything in small portions and at the right time. One needs to understand that fitness should be a way of life. You can’t go on and off diets. You need to make small and permanent changes to your lifestyle. Eat healthy and stick to it,” she said.
She also doesn’t believe in any slimming pills. “If you don’t work out and eat right no weight-loss pills will help you slim down. There are no shortcuts to losing weight,” said the actress. She’s also never deprived herself of food, especially her cravings. She explained: “I have never tried to resist cravings. I give in and then sweat it out. If you resist cravings you will end up bingeing later on unhealthy foods. This does more harm than good.” As for any diet secrets, she said she swears by desi ghee to help make her healthier and stronger. “I think one teaspoon every day will take care of your skin, hair and bones,” she advised.
