Biography:

Zawe Ashton was born on July 21, 1984 in Hackney, London, England. She began her career as a child actress when she appeared in an episode of the UK television series Game On.

In 2003, she had her first adult role as Abigail Meredith in an episode of Holby City. She has since appeared in other shows including Mobile, The Bill, Casualty, Sherlock, and Misfits.

As of 2011, she stars as Deborah Arnold in Case Histories and as Violet “Vod” Nordstrom in Fresh Meat. She has also starred in the films St. Trinian’s II: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold, Blitz, Weekender, and Dreams of a Life.
