Zeljko Ivanek is a Slovenian-American actor. He’s been acting since the 1980s, debuting in the 1982 film Tex. He later had roles in the films Mass Appeal and The Sun Also Rises. The following decade, he had roles in the films School Ties, White Squall, Courage Under Fire, Donnie Brasco, and A Civil Action. He also starred as Ed Danvers in the NBC series Homicide: Life on the Street. He later played Governor James Devlin in the HBO series Oz. Later in the 2000s, he had supporting roles in the movies Hannibal, Black Hawk Down, Unfaithful, Dogville, and The Manchurian Candidate. He also starred as Andre Drazen in Fox’s 24 and Raymond “Ray” Fiske in FX’s Damages. For his work in the latter, he received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor. From 2014 to 2019, he starred as Russell Jackson in CBS’ Madam Secretary.
