American actress Zoe Saldana had her career beginnings in the late 1990s. She first appeared on the television series Law & Order. In the 2000s, she became more prolific in the movies. During this period, she had roles in the films Center Stage (debut), Get Over It, and Crossroads. She next appeared as Anamaria inPirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. She went on to star in the films The Terminal, Haven, Guess Who, and Vantage Point. Afterwards, she landed the role of Nyota Uhura in Star Trek. She became further known for playing Neytiri in Avatar. In the 2010s, she starred in the movies Burning Palms, Star Trek Into Darkness, and played Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy. She recently reprised her roles in Star Trek Beyond and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. She will also reprise her role in Avengers: Infinity War.
The 39-year-old actress stays in shape by living a healthy life. Interestingly, the actress doesn’t follow any specific diet plans. She said she doesn’t believe in it. She explained: “I don’t believe in cheat days because I don’t believe in diets. I try not to deprive my body of anything, because the moment I have just salads and protein for a few days, I crave carbs. But when I eat everything in balance, I think less about food and more about everything else. It’s about eating to live, not living to eat.”
She added: “I like food that is fresh. I don’t go for things that come in can—and I’m losing trust in things that come in plastic. And we’re starting to move in the direction of becoming a vegetarian family; society has a very violent, dysfunctional, and wrong relationship with how we cultivate and produce meat. So if I have to pay more to eat better, then I’ll just balance my checkbook better. For example, I’d rather get the dark chocolate with goji berries than the milk chocolate packed with saturated fat.”
